    Luft NCO's Visor Cap

    Hi,
I have a fairly salty WW2 German NCO's visor cap. It appears to be a private issue blue/gray wool with rust or redish piping. Can anyone tell me what unit this hat belonged to? Thanks in advance for your help.

            Hallo turbo

Just to improve my knowledge. Why do you think this visor is a fake one?

            best regards

This is an authentic cap, I believe the photo being taken in direct sunlight and the piping being faded makes it appear off color.

                      Hi,
I appreciate the responses, but would anyone know what unit this hat was worn by? I know it appears a bit off color, but I would appreciate your best guess.

Even the chinstrap is most common on a Heer visor cap I think this LW visor cap is good and is for a FLAK unit.

Sometimes there is a Flak unit stamp under the leather sweetband

Very gently flip the sweat band out many times you can find a unit marking on the back side. If none is there then there is no way to tell.

An original cap with a very commonly encountered "Heer" style chinstrap. The color could be a faded red but also a Signals type of cinnamon brown. As stated, if you gently pulled down the sweatband a little at a time you may find a unit stamp. Signals caps are often found to be unit stamped with "Ln"
