KM Visor at the Queen Mary

This cap may have already been mentioned on this forum, but I ran into it while prowling around with a buddy on the Queen Mary in Long Beach. It was in the Immortal Chaplains Sanctuary. Donated by a German officer of the U-223 that sank the Dorcester. See the description card below the cap.

Sorry Vaughn but I don't like it one bit. The lip alone on the visor is too large not to mention incorrect chinstrap. Someones been mislead IMO. This is clearly a post war refurb

Well, I'm not telling the Queen Mary staff. They've got enough problems as it is. The tourist trade is way down.

LOL , that's a good one. I certainly wouldn't want to tell them that either. Thanks for sharing. Take care

East German based upon the bullion 'line' at the outside edge of the scallops. Someone had the good sense to scoop the KM visor for a collection & replace it with this.
