    Was he wearing an Erel?

Browsing through the Bundesarchiv pictures, I encountered this photo of Heinz Trettner during his time as a General Staff officer (1941/42). (original context: http://www.bild.bundesarchiv.de/arch...46-1970-016-17)

I was often wondering how comfortable these German visors really were...?

    What's your guess.

    Is his visor truly STIRNDRUCKFREI?

    Nice pic.

Maybe he had a hair net on before having the photo!

The RK says it all, no need to wear the others! As for the sweatband imprint, anyone who has really worn a service cap (in service) knows that this effect is common...that is why I never liked ventilated holes in the front of my sweatbands.....it looks even worse!!
