Ron - A number of questionable M43 caps by the maker Carl Halfar have come up lately for discussion on WAF.

Right, wrong or indifferent caps with this maker mark gives folks pause.

if it's bad, it would fool me by the photos...

Materials fine. Construction fine. I'd have it in my collection.

Well, isn't this interesting. I recently bought this one from german ebay. The pics were bad so it was a 50/50 gamble for me. If it turned out to be a copy, well at least I'd be able to study how good they are making them these days. The seller was honest enough to say he wasn't sure about it either but didn't say where he got it from. I could always ask him I suppose.
My first impressions were that it's a fake because it's just so mint. However, I'm not so sure now. All the materials are authentic IMO. The stamp looks very fresh though and has bled into the rayon. There's no bias material.
Ron's cap looks identical in every detail. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing. Would be interesting to know where you got it from Ron?
If these are both copies, then they are the best I've seen so far.
