    RLB Officer's Visor

I believe this to be a genuine example of an RLB Officer's visor, but before puting it on E-Stand I would welcome any comments. Thanks in advance.

That might be a great original cap, but that swastika looks like a crawling spider in motion. I only bring it up because I see others criticize a swastika when an arm is slight off kilter.

AGAIN...no problems with this cap at all, just an observation on an originally embroidered swastika.

                        Thanks, guys.
Yes, Richard, I see what you mean but if you look at Wim Saris Vol. 2 Headgear book (p.176) you can see a cap very similar to mine and the swastika is not exactly uniform!
Perhaps these hand stitched eagles will vary.

                          Wessel,

This was not a critcism about your cap. It is first rate..my only intention was to point out that an imperfect swastika does not destroy a piece and make it a fake automaticly. All hand embroidered stuff varies as you mentioned. Richard

Nope. There are exceptions to every rule. And it must have been extremely difficult to hand-embroider that swastica through the existing bullion star, and still have it look like something familiar.

Yup. And this cap eagle is clearly fine German craftsmanship IMO. Bright and beautiful, crisp and clear.

I agree with the above--asymetrical swastikas are almost the norm on RLB visors. Most of them are done in black thread over the bullion. Here is mine:
