    Erel Officer's Visor

What's the going price today for a double marked Erel Officer class (Infantry) Visor, with bullion wreath? Close to mint condition. Did a search, but didn't see much.

If it is any help in helping you with Erel pricing, Ulric is selling a very good condition Panzer Erel for £2500.

The infantry branch is cheaper. Mint however, is like the one I have posted below. The one you have shown is nicely aged toned but is not near mint. I have seen similar Erel Infantry caps like your one changing hands between £600 and £750 here in the UK.

            Infantry

            Mike,

Some day, I will figure out why I can easily find a Panzer in excellent or mint condition but cannot find an Infantry.

I scoured the floor of the SOS this past weekend, picked up and examined dozens of hats -- not one minty Infantry.

But this is true with other items -- there will be a very long dry spell followed by a glut.

I hope the glut comes soon.

            My best,

            Mike

              ..

Incidentally, JT owns what has to be one of the finest Erels on the planet.

Many thanks Mike I appreciate it. This cap is stored in one of my calico cap bags, in the box, with a special calico drawstring bag over the box to keep all unwanted things out. I am doing my bit to keep it in it's current condition.

Mike--that is an excellent observation. When I focused on WH, mint infantry visors were a b**ch to find--especially one by a premier maker.
I never could figure that one out....

Thanks guys for all the info. J T you have just shown me what Mint Condition really is. Truely beautiful visor.

                    Best Regards, Mike

                    P. S. Would anyone know if my visor was a war time issue or manufactured before 1939?

You cap was manufactured after 1939 and is therefore wartime. The Strirnshutz system gives that date for us. Yours is a nice example, the used ones actually float my boat more than the mint's.
