Looks fine. Is it me or do almost all turn up come in small sizes? I know conventional wisdom is they are Bregmutzen, but all I have seen are around a size 55 and this one looks that size too. Generally, they are all in pretty good shape too.
I know females are supposed to wear caps sans cockades, but can these be for female wear? Or, is this a case of there was not enough Luft pin heads males and it was left-over stock at the end of the war?Alitur vitium vivitque tegendo

There was a good thread on these but I can't find it. But the bottom line was this style cap was used by Helferin as well as others. The Helferin wore it without the cockade , but how many of these have been upgraded after the war to become LW Bergmutze? WR Jim

Thanks Jim, I seem to remember that thread too.
As I recall most Heer Bergmutzen that have maker marks visible are from southern Germany or Austria makers. Seems I recall the same on some of these caps they have marks like that too. Could that be a way to distinguish? Just thinking out loud.Alitur vitium vivitque tegendo
