Infantry Officer's Visor - Help Please!

I've been collecting a number of years but have little experience with visors that aren't pretty salty and fairly easy to authenticate. This is a visor I received in a group quite awhile ago. I'd appreciate your opinions on this one and I thank you in advance for your time!

left side - does the coarse material indicate later production?

interior - diamond is complete but no maker, should this be a point of concern?

Last one, a shot that came out dark, but does show the best view of the insignia

If this is original, I am considering trading this cap to a fellow forum member. What would be a fair ballpark value in terms of trade?

Thank you again for all comments and opinions!

            Great collecting,

            William

              Is the sweat shield plastic?

Going on the inside shot, this cap looks like a reproduction.

Possibly insignia could be original ?, but interior of cap sweatband, sweat shield makes me nervous. Not one for me.

How about some under the hood shots? That black mark along the edge of the visor near the SB could indicate the visor has been on another hat.

Looks good from the outside, but the interior looks to be post war and artificially aged, IMO.
