SS Officer visor cap

I suspect an army rebuild. Not keen on the velvet band or the messed with lining. Insignia are obvious copies.

Just to pile on, I echo the above observations. Not all SS velvet bands were the same, but I do not believe that any were of this weave...typical fake velvet...you just can not find the good stuf anymore, I guess.

Shame to trash what would probably be a 4 figure or near that Heer officers cap.

Agreed. The velvet band looks just like the velvet on my Janke SS visor.
