And here we have another lw visor for opinion

and the quest to find me a nice original one with the 50 mission look has not ended yet

hope to get some opinions, here is what the seller claims,
he gave me permission to have this cap discussed.

i would like opinions on originality, sweatband, and wreath eagle etc.

    thanx in advance

    seller Spencer Victory claims :

The hat is exc shape all around with just a slight bend around the wreath cockade. From what I have been told this is a straight up issued hat, and no made by any certian company There are no markings that I can see. The sweat band has not been replaced this hat came out of the wood work. There is a size marking underneath the sweat band, and it is not a vented cockade

Well, I'm certainly not an expert, but I must say that I have serious doubts about this cap. The crown piping jumps out at me first, and it looks to be poorly sewn, certainly not what one would expect from a quality German hatmaker. Also, is the peak underside smooth, rather than cross-hatched? If so, I would have additional serious doubts. The overall appearance of the cap just does not look right to me.

I don't see anything wrong with it myself. Wouldn't say it's a "50 mission" look cap though, more like a "50 years in a dusty attic" look.

It doesn´t "touch" me . The cocarde looks a bit oxidized and the eagle doesn´t. They also have a different colour thread - I´d wait for a nicer one. The decision, of course, is yours. Life is full of difficult decisions.
