    The Kiss of Death ?

    If a visor cap interior has a sweatshield marked "Pekuro" and "Stirndruckfrei," is it fair/reasonable/correct to say that a missing (absent) black felt/wool insert between sweatband and cap body is indicative of post-1945 manufacture?

    Not necessarily, It could be a 100% original cap with a changed out Sweatband, done during the war.
