Sorry mate but I don't own it. As it is I had to put my a$$ on the line just to get an interior shot.

Did I miss something? looks like a genuine Alkero shield to me and not a post war one or repro as far as I'm aware. Eagle and skull are crap though. How much is the Beadle asking for this one?

Well, just knowing it came from Beadle would put me off.

Is there no escape from Jeremy Beadle's twisted humour, even from the grave he taunts us !!

                        Ben,
Given that Alkero has supplied the Bundeswehr for the past 50 years, I'm sure that there is no shortage of well worn Alkero parts around.
What makes you think that this is a war-time Alkero diamond? Do you have pics of a similar diamond in a war-time cap?

Hi Doug, I can't say for sure it's wartime but it doesn't much look like any of the post war Alkero shields I've seen so far.

Ok. First off there is no way on Gods green Earth I thought that Allan is going to sell a real W-SS cap .
With that being said, from afar this cap looks good putting aside the crappy TK.
Either that liner has been dropped in and Ben is correct that it is a wartime lable or ......but then again why use an obscure lable? Were these folks in the business of making repro SS caps. Why the sweet looking doeskin? why not really try to live up to your reputation and throw everyone off track and simply remove the diamond? Lord knows how many times we've all seen that. I wouldn't mind seeing this close up

I've said a few times that amongst all the crap that Beadle has, there must be, by the law of averages, some genuine items. This cap could be one of them, regardless of the price. His photos are so poor though and they're the only ones you'll ever get out of him so the only way to be sure is to buy. From what I've heard however, he can be a pain in the arse when it comes to returning items so that's a risk not worth taking IMO. How the guy does any business at all is a mystery to me.
