I don't want to belabor the obvious. And I don't want to sound like some snotty high-brow, because I know that Nick and a few others here HAVE FORGOTTEN MORE than I (care to ) know about Erel visors, but the following three pics really illustrate all that I have to see to know enough to walk away. After that, the rest is just confirmation for what I already suspected. And I feel it is important info to share, as these areas are integral to the repro portion of the cap itself, and will remain immediate 'tells' no matter what original components are retro-fitted from some poor, assraped donor cap. The third pic is the fake SS Mueller, but the song remains the same.

Don't know anything about grommets, but just from a glance - every thing looks too new on the first posted General's visor. In other words the following look bad: eagle, cockade, piping, outside fabric material, insde lining material, and inside plastic looking shield. I will leave the grommets, pleating & sweatband to the experts. BTW NTZ - do you have a book out already? How can I get a copy?
