My new M43 cap

Guys, very excited to have added this one to my collection. Wanted to share it. Believe the maker to be Posen and the cap is dated 1942!! I just love the bend in the visor! Not broken, just curved like when folded and in pocket or under shoulder straps! Any and all comments welcome! Mike.

Based on the color and appearance of the wool, that is Italian wool, right?
Italy surrendered in September 1943 when their material became available during the German occupation...
This M43 pattern could not have a 1942 date if its Italian wool and the style of hat was introduced in 1943. Isn't the date 1943?
Nice hat otherwise!
BTW Posen is a city in (occupied) Poland, not a maker name.
