Luft Officer M43 w/ embroidered insignia

    Guys-
I'm putting this one up for sale on the e-stand but this time I'm listing it as 'replaced' insignia. I don't know when it was done, though I think you will agree with me it was a fairly common practice during the war. For all of you who are not familiar with this practice, check out the examples they have listed on the Collector's Guild here:
    http://www.germanmilitaria.com/Galleries/Headgear.html

This is a link to "Gallery 1". Gallery 2 shows even more examples. It appears it wasn't limited to the Luft or Heer but also Panzer, SS and other branches of the Wehrmacht.

I'm getting a "bund" vibe from this one.

A close up shot of the insignia would be helpful.
