Black M43 Panzer cap

    Black M43 Panzer cap

    I'm considering this M43 cap, which is offered as a HJ winter cap....
    As far as I know this is the wrong pattern for HJ (theirs had a buckled front) and HJ cap were dark blue.
    So this is clearly a panzer black M43... but incorrectly restored... (or fake?)
    Buttons are pebbled with worn black paint...
    THOUGHTS?

      Does it have a chance as a Black Panzer M43?
      (post war stripped perhaps? and incorrectly restored? or repro?)

        Weird enough to be 12 SS hitlerjugend... If it were cheap anf returnable I d take a crack at HJ hats prices..JMHO Billbert

                I wouldn't be surprised at all by a Panzer cap being used by the HJ or other branch. They used whatever was at hand by the end. I'd buy it.

                  OK guys thanks for the thumbs up... I'll try to snag it!
                  The insignia is hand sewn...so possibly added later and it is indeed a panzer cap......?
