Robin,
Must you make all your crushers into pseudo SS caps by adding TK's to all? Ha ha, you have some seriously nice stuff, sorry they have have been defaced...well, actually a face added.
Steve,
Always nice to see a pioneer crusher!
Besslein,
Wow....very nice...I can fix it for you if you will send it to me.
Nick,
I think you need to start a new thread, if not this one will become crowded very fast, nice work!

There are several caps in this thread called a "crusher" that are not. The brim must be soft leather (like field gear leather) so it can be folded and stuffed in your belt. Removing the cap spring was a common way to emulate the look of these caps. Here's my artillery crusher. The sweatband is in poor shape but the owner's initials remain intact...

You should not have sat on your crusher just before the photograph, we would still know its a crusher. The Paul Kaps generals crusher I posted has a pressed paper visor and they fold in half also, but keep their look much better. There was a great discussion some time back about what makes a true crusher...it was very informative. Nice arty crusher by the way!

Steve,
Thats it...bring out the big guns now. Very nice crusher, you just need to share it more often.
Bob,
Killer signals crusher, not one you see too often, except Jacques SS signals crusher, which we do see a little too often. Let me know when you want to ditch that totally non textbook wrapper with yellow rope piping...it really brings down your collection. It should be next door in California bringing down my collection. Actually, I always enjoy seeing it whenever you post it...thanks!!

Richard,
I bought the signals wrapper and pants from Steve Wolfe, back in the old days. It was in the basement bunker of the shop in Lakewood. Fred Ramm had gotten it from the veteran and I had wanted it so badly that I paid the huge price Steve had on it. It just took a decade for it to reach the value and 3 decades later, it seems to have been a bargain.
Stonemint is visiting this weekend and has already examined the signals crusher.
