I am a bit nervous about this cap. The bullion embroidery on the visor is spaced away from the visor edge (instead of being right next to it) and I can't tell if the visor edge is leather or some other material. The wreath and eagle are also questionable to me. KMSpain or some other Navy expert needs to take a look at this. May be just a mint cap and perfectly OK, but these photos are throwing me off.

Man, you have got a thing about condition. Just remember that is not an indicator for originality. Jacques

Hi, sorry but I don't like it, an other post war one?. I'm not sure with only the pictures if it is a postwar one or a good copy, I like the lining and I have seen this maker on some SS caps, but the cap look to me as an early post war one. I agree with Leroy about the visor, the buttons are not german, and the insignias don't like me too much.

The bullion trim (interlocking lines) between the scallops & edge of the visor is DDR style from what I recall. Rick C.

Many other factors aside, I do not like the twisted trim under the visor braid.

Yes! (wish I knew how to draw arrows on photos... )

The visor starting this had the DDR version of this feature (as well as standing off from the edge of the visor as pointed out by another)

For these reasons I believe it's a rebadged visor.
