Perhaps non-standard but clearly has the quality. i like this one!

Other than the obvious lack of gromments, what do you not like about this hat? I have owned this for about 15 years.

The lack of grommets is not a big deal. Ususally found on private purchase caps.

However, the general look of the cap indicates pre-war. However, it appears to have a mid-war eagle. If this is the case, not what I would expect.

The stampings would probably not indicate private purchase. I am skeptical.
