Not a textbook one but it doesn't look that bad.
The edelweiss is surely postwar but that doesn't mean that the whole cap is bad.
Let's wait to see what real experts have to say but I think that with the pictures provided this one has a chance.....

            It's a body's Bergmutze
Do you have a picture of inside vents?

                Hello
Your cap seem M43 but not GJ bergmütze
Several things are not corrects for bergmütze
1- you have not double sewing on the top
2- Inner side: all gebirgs cap have inner thick lining sewn in front
and the rear part have sharp shape (see pics)
Your M43 have two eyelets (never seen on M43)
and the inner leather liner no exist in M43 only on bergmütze
Total one "hybrid" cap with bundeswehr edelweis but certainly not bergmütze.
                Regards

Most likely a M42 upgrade with added visor..Looks to have only 1 vent grommet and not 2...(what you are seeing next to the grommet is a piece of straw,IMO) Insignia looks to be a trapazoid.

Give a man an opinion and you feed him for a day,
teach a man to use the "search" function on the WAF and you feed him for a lifetime.
