not a cap i would want in my collection of originals
Give a man an opinion and you feed him for a day,
teach a man to use the "search" function on the WAF and you feed him for a lifetime.

If I thought it was original,I would have purchased it already.

So if it's a fake it schould be remover from e-stand ,but if original must remain.

              Again?!
What is wrong on this cap now? The cap is good, i can still reconize a good one from a bad one, it is in my hands again! Do you seems strange to see a orange piping maybe, and you are much more suspicious than usually? Have a look to all its thread, the same pass on the soutage too, and the whole cap is made from the same thread. C'mon tell me what you don't like on it....

.......and i'd also remember to all that, the Fieldgendarmerie had kept their Waffenfarbe in their side cap till the end of the war! See also their DD M40 & M42 police helmets too, you are comparing the police as it was WH, and it is a big mistake!!

Sorry, but the whole cap is bad IMO with the exception of the insignia. Seeing a lot of these lately....

                      Yes Mike,
but "IMO" as you say! So, they must have been made many years ago then, as i found it 8 years back...who know ! I bet that if you had it in your hands, as you are a more than a reputable collectors, you will change opinion stright away! Not always the photos made justice, also if made rather well.

I am also agonizing over this cap as I have the perfect tunic to go with the cap.

The cap is missing some major details which brings its authenticity in to question. The biggest is the lack of air vents on the sides of the hat. It looks like a Janke hat? Anyone else?

In hand inspection is always needed in my opinion.
