    Erel KM NCO Visor

    Wold be interested to hear any oinions on this hat unfortunately I do not have my reference books with me but do not feel sure about it. Has KM Eagle/M stamp on inside of the sweatband which i have not seen on a hat before.

              Hi Guys, what I know about KM caps to limited to what I have read in Gary Wilkins book. I am not a KM collector.
              Hi Kurt & Michel, could you please expand on your answers as to what is wrong with the cap Rob posted so we can all learn what to look for?

                Hello Adrian,

                All in this cap is fake (visor, inside, celluoïde, etc...), it's certainly a Bundesmarine 'doctered'.

                  Hi Michel, thanks for answering (I have admired your cap in the other thread .) I had wondered if the cap was a doctored Bundy one. Does the German firm of "Janke" make KM caps?
                  I have only handled a few KM caps at shows but I have never known Good from Bad. Hence I have stayed away.

                    Yes Adrian, Janke made Kriegsmarine caps but they are not dangerous (when you know what to look for).

                    But in general, think logical, old, and rigourous german made...

                        I doubt that this is a BM cap! Look at the diamond...EREL it was made to fool people. Completely contemporary.
