I talked to a handful of SS guys, cap guys and even a few dealers today regarding the probability of a W-SS teller shape. No one has ever heard of one, seen one in period photos, seen documentation of one nor ever seen one in a collection. Not that the I needed that to determine the authenticity of the cap but I just went the extra mile. Maybe this would be a good thread to shamelessly plug my new venture, cap authentication. I have need doing this for years for free and after diving around to post offices, taking hours to photograph and look over caps and then spend an hour or so writing COA’s, I figure it is now time to charge. I will be more than glad to email references of my work.

Give up what? You just stated that your sources have said waffenss hats did not exist as teller forms. Paul Hausers hat is a teller. You should try to stop embelishing all of your posts with comments that stray from the facts at hand. You are good at using those comments as support / crutch for your lack of hard facts. Just stick to to facts at hand.
