    LW m43 Twins

    Hello Gents

Last weekend i bought a very nice lw m43. When i came home i noticed that the rfnr was the same as the other one i have. Both have rfnr 0/0454/0041 and both were produced in 1944. Sizes are the same.

One has a machine stitched trapezoid which isn't stitched through the liner, the other has a hand stitched trapezoid.

    Regards Erwin

Both original Luft summer weight M43's IMO. The handstitched insignia may be replaced. I have seen many of the thicker Luft M43's having the same RBN numbers.

Give a man an opinion and you feed him for a day,
teach a man to use the "search" function on the WAF and you feed him for a lifetime.

                    Great caps..
It's "late" Summer weight stuff, Jan.., but it's OK.
But I agree, rather sloppy stuff, but that's war, from quality to rubbish, history all over the place..

                    Jos.

Thanks for the comments gents. I really like these type of caps.

Jan, I guess it wasn't fashion what counts at the end of the war.

                      regards erwin

The most interesting thing -- which no one has commented on -- is that one is a single button and one a double. Why?

                          Hello John

Both have two buttons. I have checked it. It has to do with the way (angle) i photographed them.

                          Regards Erwin

both have 2 buttons the front is slightly folded over ne of the buttons the material is somewhat flimsy i.e. very thin
