    Red Flag, Yes. Hands on needed, Yes.

    Personally I would stay clear of this characteristic because of the doubts associated with it. But each his own, I guess

      For that price I can you recommend mine Les. Far less expensive ( 750 USD), better quality, 100% original, and from a maker you won't encounter very often (Dutch (!!) made). Just look at the e-stand, there he is

            Maybe, maybe not. Hat is by a cottage maker, and this is not uncommon for them. Easy to tell in hand, and I'm sure Bill would be willing to look & let you know--just ask him.

                  Has the wings-embroidery a blue backing or is it just my screen letting it appear like that?
                  Lovely visor cap!!!

                    I would appreciate if someone could explain"the stiching above the lower piping". I looked at the pic 3x and I am not sure what is being referred to. Also, could you explain a little better how it is a "red flag". I haven't seen this referred to as a red flag before in the WAF - maybe i overlooked it in previous threads.

                    Thanks in advance.

                      Quote from a thread here in the forum, DETECTING FAKE, RELINED VISORS ;

                      "Once you determine the sweatband is correct for the visor, you need to look for other signs of foul play. Exposed stitching at the exterior bottom base of the cap just above or bellow the bottom piping should be a red flag. This is the most common mistake fakers make when reattaching a sweatband."

                      regards, Les.

                        Look at the stitching below the lower piping in this photo.
