Wow, that looks stunning! The piping around the top really makes the cap stand out, as opposed to the 'normal' issue white tops. The unit stamp looks good to me, but I am sure the para guys will be able to comment more on that. I would hate to think what it set you back, but I am in love with your cap!!

                    Thanks Bob,

The dealer I got it from is a friend so he lets me know when he gets some new stock. What's funny is neither one of us noticed the unit marking. I discovered it later on, it was a pleasant surprise

I don't like this cap at all. The overall shape, style and symmetry (what I call S³) screams English repro and that stamp is completely wrong. Just my opinion.

Wow, Thanks Gene. I consider you a very knowledgeable Luftwaffe collector. I'm feeling a bit low now.

WoW ,I like the overall shape of this visor , but the two things I don't like is the lining and S/B plus I never see any white top luftwaffe cap with the top piping , not for my collection just my opinion .

Yeah the only one that I have ever seen is the example in the Moran book too. I noted that Eric Queen doesn't lkike the unit stampings, from your posts in the FJ forum.

I don't think I would be game enough to have a crack at it, Gene's experience on Luftwaffe visor caps is amongst the best in the game, I would sure heed his advise, he has saved me from a couple of bad caps in the past, might be time to bale.....

Im pretty sure this is a Janke. You dont see many Janke Luftwaffe visors.....but in my opinion this is a repro made by Janke. What is or was (if you can see it ) on the sweatshield.
