    SS General's White-Top in Wear

This is the only pic I know of showing an SS Genl's white-topper in wear. (Credit: D'Alquen). Does anyone have any others?

Lastly, does anyone have any pics of a real one? I can't recall if I have seen a real one on the net....

Now there IS a rare visor cap - the white top. There looks to be a white top coming up for auction on page 2 of this month's Mlitary Trader - part of "The Doug Gramberg Collection" - on 12/6/08 at www.affiliatedauctions.com. I think there are also some white top pics in "German War Booty" by Johnson.

          Paul,
Thanks for showing your white top. It is an extraordinary piece. If it's the one I think it is I remember seeing it in the flesh many, many years ago.
Here is a picture to add to the one of Weber. it shows Lammers wearing his white cap. The picture is also from the races at Munich.

Interestingly, Lammers white top and white tunic are on permamant display in London's Imperial War Museum, saw it there but unfortunately didn't have my camera to photograph. It is on permament "Loan" by presumably the original vet Liberator"

Page 64. of "Soldiers of the Leibstandarte" by Thomas Fischer has a small but nice photo of Oberfuhrer Walter Staudinger wearing a white top visor in France during summer of 42.

I appreciate the opportunity to see something I have never seen before!!!!

Superb! its almost life size on my monitor.

Would love to own one of these.

By the way, what is it made of, almost likes like plasticy/waterproof material.

Does this white top sit over the normal hat or is it all constructed as one? If all one, why did they not use the same type of material as normal visors are made from?

                              Thanks for posting.
