I think the " it has a running against the wind " shape is not a good point to give a cap a thumbs down IMO..
I just name fighter ace Erich Hartmann, who had the highest point of his visor sewn or pinned to the top/deck, I've seen several others who messed up their cap to give it a tough appearance, some even pulled the whole cloth part aside to give it a baret look..
Another point is theremovable eagle, it can be fake while the cap is OK, it can be fake and also the cap, or it can be good with a fake cap...

I told Ben when he had it that I could see no real problem with it. I still don’t see a real problem with it. I have seen another late Schellenberg with a canvas, cloth type cap (gray). I had it in hand. It was right as rain. I am not ruling this one out.

I can't remember does this one have a front seam? I am pretty sure it did as I would have said no way otherwise.

Here is a crusher on estand in the material I seen on that late Schellenberg. By the way, nice crusher. http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=306513

            Tropical Visor

The material that it is constructed from is a very thin silk/rayon in pale grey, i would not know how to post the link it was disscused on, maybe Benvk can help with that. As stated earlier i sold the cap a while back, and was then offered the chance to by it back which of coarse i did, but the owner had sent the cap to a hat maker in london to add a new sweatband because the old pressed paper band had perished and someone had added a thick wool band instead which didn't look to good. I would say that the cavalry crusher for sale on estand is of a heavier material compared to mine. I now have it for sale on German Collectibles.

William, to post the link, copy the url of it from the relevant page from the address bar, come back to this thread, post a reply and click on the world / paperclip looking link icon. This brings up a window that you slap the copied url into and this will post the click on link.
