17th Infantry Rgt Cap Repair Help Required

    Hi,
I have this cap in my collection, bought a few years ago from Gerard Stezelberger, but last year while I was away someone pulled the chin cord off which pulled the button out and broke the end of the cord. Is there any UK based repairers that would be able to repair this for me, as I don't trust myself to do a good enough job without damaging the cap further especially the sweatband? Thanks.

Thanks. I have been in contact with Benvk previously but unfortunately he is a busy bunny.

The bunny isn't quite so busy at the moment. PM me again and I'll see what I can do.

This is the damage. The brown thread on the button has just been used to make sure the button doesn't disappear somewhere.

It does indeed look like a very nice visor in the photos.

Thanks. It is an Erel visor. When it is repaired I will take a few better (and in focus) photos of it and post them here.
