    wierd lufty visor for ntz and all

    hi guys

    i posted this awhile back and still find it bizarre, movie prop? re enactor?

    what really freaks me out is the material inside, i know this material from somewhere but cannot place it, its driving me nuts!

    i promised ntz i would dissect it a bit so here it is...any ideas?

          Dion, you'll find the metallic part around the rim of second type of german pith helmets. Does it help?

            Lets see, when you're talking about the material inside, I guess your talking about the liner, and sweatband. The SB looks like felt or sometype of cloth/fiber material? If that's the case that would itch like crazy on your forehead.

              sort of, how the heck did it end up in this visor?

              on the material, yes the sweatband and the inner visor purplish material, its been on something ww2 i have handled, i just cant place it.
