I would like a better close-up of the logo, and would like to know if there is any upper-pasteboard stitching first before making a decision.

          Hi Stonemint,<O</O
about the logo, there is something that puzzle me; i have tried to compare it to others and i got some rilevant differences between them.<O</O
The one on "mine" (it's not still mine...) has some very confused and not decise tracts expecially on the oval Erel logo where the word 'BERLIN' on the bottom is nearly unreadable; as i stated before, the 'Extra' word is slightly shifted on the left and the 't' and 'a' letters are very different from the others (post # 27). <O</O
As i stated, I'm not a visor cap guy, so i don't know if these differences on the logo could be the begin of other investigations...<O</O
No one can help me on this?<O</O

The logo is blurry in its application. Is it on the lining or the exterior of the sweatshield? I believe that, at the very least, the s/b has been re-attached/replaced, and so has the insignia.

This is a fake logo (black-grommet), but not the same as the one above:

                Hi Stonemint,
in other words, you say this cap has something not in order...

                  Hi friends,
searching in the pages of this forum finally i found something of interesting. PLease look at this thread:
                  http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...nzer+grenadier
The visor cap in this thread has the very same logo which is presents in mine one and of course, has the same kind of sweatband. I'd be glad to know if it has the same hand made stitchings but the owner hasn't still answered to my question after i contacted him via p.m.
Notice the silk made piping of the cap. It means that isn't an early model how it's been told.
This kind of logo is very particular and maybe rare. Comparing with the others present in many Erel caps, this is the only i found exactly the same.

Comparison between the two same logos: notice the very same shape of 'Extra' letters (E, t, a in particular way) and the last 'e' of the wordo 'Sonderklasse' which has the extra long leg.

And finally the comparison between mine cap's logo (bottom) and a normal logo (top). Notice the different shape of the letters of the words 'Extra' and 'Sonderklasse'.

                      Alex,
I don't see a problem with this cap. Looks like an early (1937?) or so army erel.
