            Hi friends,
            many thanks for your reply; everything it's more clear for me now. Reassuming what you said, it's a very early model class with a half folded and half hand sewn sweatband so, for this reason, without the 'Stirnschütz' system (maybe Lubstein hadn't still patented at that time?) and a large logo type that is typical of the early model as well.
            So, apart the long hand stitched on the front of the sweatband which it isn't still confirmed, everything seems ok...

            Another fine example i found on the Internet is this:

            I think it's more or less the same early model although it has the regular logo and the piping diameter more little than mine one.

                    Alex don’t worry about the hand stitching in the front. I know it was not common for Erel but I am 99% positive that that indeed was how the cap was made. It certainly looks original to the cap, no doubts there.

                      many thanks for your precious help, you 've been great.
                      It cames from an old collection and for nothing in the world i think it's been tampered in any way.
                      I'm just curious to see other Erel caps with the same long stitches on the front, so if there is someone who can fill me this curiosity, i pray him to post some pictures.

                          Hi friends,
                          do you know where i can find a sort of documented history of the Erel visors?
                          PS: about the logo on mine one (top on the pic), i noticed the sligthly different font with the other logo on the 'EXTRA' word expecially on the 't' and 'a'. Just another early type feature?

                            It does have some interesting traits. One that really should catch your eye with this one is the hand sewn front section. Don't think I've ever seen one done by Erel like this, but on a good note there doesn't seem to be evidence where machine stitching existed in this area.

                            As for a proto type question/Erel question. Is there cheese cloth behind the side liner? Just curious, because I've always seen this with the Erels.

                              this Erel visor is the same that i entered as sample on the previous post (#22 / 23); apparenthly it has the same long stitchings on the front (i sign in white where are present the junction with the sweatband and the visor).
