    I don't know if I'm looking this the wrong way or what, but can someone explain why the soldier has a cross in his visor cap.

            Maybe the soldier actually affixed a cross over the eagle for the wedding. Could be a Christian ceremony and he didn't want to offend his preacher father-in-law with his eagle and swastika. Or sun glare...
