    Nice Pekuro Study

This visor is on Ebay right now. It is for the most elite regiment of the Kaiser, the Garde-du-Korps, who only were allowed to wear the white-body with the red band.

This hat is interesting in that it is not WWI construction--it was made during the Third Reich by Pekuro for a veteran of the regiment--something they continued to do until at least the 1950's.

What makes it easily identifiable as TR is the Sattleform, and the celluloid sweatdiamond--true Kaiserreich pieces lack these features. So, would someone call this a repro? I certainly would not, but then I am a haberdashery fan first, and a historical collector second:

Check out the perforated "Pekuro" on the sweatband. I have only seen this used in the 33-35 era (if anyone has a later TR piece w/ it, let me know). They did use this feature extensively postwar:

This is the early (33-35) logo, used primarily for civil/state caps:

The box obviously did not come w/ the hat, but is very interesting (and rare) nonetheless--it's for Paul Kaps!

However, I do believe the box is genuine Kaiser-era issue, so it would clash with your TR Kaps:

Here is a POST-WWII Pekuro Chevauleger's visor made in the 1950's, that, with the exception of the plastic s/d, is the same as their 1930's "repros" for the Veteran's market:

Note that the "D.B.P." was razored out:
