I'd personally like to see some more Jager green from other's out there. If you have a Jager cap or uniform please share your green...

Just to add a little more color. Here's a pair of Luftwaffe Admin. Major's tabs.

And a Luftwaffe Admin. Specialists shoulder board. Note the tesse is not the subdued army type but the bright luftwaffe type.

        Reverse of board

The strap is yet another shade of green. Not important but more green fun! To me the strap is more of the "bottle" green similar to the early army collars, just to give an idea of the contrast.

          Hello Vaughn

Very nice caps and interesting question, Agree that many caps are advertized as Jager but could be Rifle Regt. Yours look like all four colors of green to me.
Here is a thread in uniforms Forum that deals with this also...

Another good topic. Admin should (technically) match the same shade of green as on the bottle-green band, but variations do occur.

That's exactly the point: different makers, differents years of production, different sub contractors, different suppliers, different quality of primary products, different techniques of colorizing and different dye stuffs. Also different situations of aging, for example UV rays or chemical cleaning with chemical substances...

Jager formations (Ordinary jager not gebirgsjager) also wore the same green piping, but with no edelweiss. Jacques

There doesn't seem to be any resolution to this issue but I'm throwing in another picture. Here's the cap I was selling as Beamte along with a Beamte tunic. The piping colors match perfectly. However, several members felt the cap was Mountain when I had it listed.
