    H. Ahlers, Potsdam

Enorepap brought up a point about the originality of the Ahlers logo with the red "Tradition" as being original. IMHO, all 3 of these are wartime logos. Potsdam was occupied by the Russkies, however, Ahlers must have continued on for a short while, as I have seen one hat with a postwar logo (a DDR Feurwehr visor).

There was a change from H Ahlers to G Ahlers sometime during the TR, so we can assume that the son most likely took over from his father, and that the "H" marked ones are early.

                Hello Gentlemen,
Here is yet another variation on the Ahlers 'Tradition' logo. In my opinion, this is a wonderful early Luftwaffe visor cap.
                Thank you,
                Curtiss

                        Hello Nonameno
IMO is not the same factory, the real one is "Ahlers " not "Tradition",this name could be a level quality of the hatbut I could be wrong

                          Hello Carlo,
Yes, you may be right. It may be a different maker all together. The font is different for the lettering too. Maybe the crest is for the city of this maker? Any other ideas for this maker? It came with a pre-war custom tailored Luftwaffe NCO 'Spies' tunic with the black collar tabs. I just was not able to buy both items. Maybe the buyer of the tunic will post it here too?
                          Thank you,
                          Curtiss

The coat of arms is not for Potsdam, but does seem to be Prussian. Any of our German members have any idea?

I had never see a black piped nco LW cap. I would love to get one

                              regards
