Thanks, what would be a fair price to buy it?

EUR 400-500 (but the term "fair" is very abstract in this hobby)

Looks like a nice EM/NCO Artillary cap made by Clemens Wagner.

It isn't mine....but if somebody wants it I can pass the information because I'm not into artillery.

"Georg Kurz-Braunschweig" is a distributor not maker. The cap is a Clemens Wagner, the CW logo is under the eagles belly in the circle. My General Staff cap has the same mark along with the Kurz ditrib mark.

There is a Georg Kurz distributor marked erel in the pages of this forum and here it is

The cap could also be recruiter, it does seem to have an Orangerot look about it

Yes, Georg Kurz is also a distributor , and you understand this when you find it along others marks, as you see in your pic, without the classic logo that "looks like" the CW one, but it' s not a CW (completely different)
Gary Wilkins, in his book, says that was in business from 1931.......(pag 291) of course IMHO...
                        Regards
BTW the Georg Kurz caps haven't any of the classic features of CW caps........

Hi Giorgio, Clemens Wagner had several different logos, not just one. The mark on the original cap shown has the C and W in the circle within the bird.

I have another Clemens Wagner with a maker mark design that most people would not have seen before, that is very ornate. I will get this posted.

Remember, a book is only accurate to the material available when it was written. Gary's book is excellent and is as you know being updated.

Kurz distributed visor's. If he made his own why badge Erel's. It cost a lot of money to put your name in these particular hat's, why bother if you make your own.

Below is a better pic of the mark in discussion from my General Staff visor, you can see the CW in the circle if you look closely.

This is the Clemens Wagner fancy logo mentioned in my previous post. I haven't taken a personal pic yet, I will do in all due course.

                            The sweatband is also marked
