    Luftwaffe Nco Bishop Visor?

    Hello everyone.

I picked this visor up a while ago and today I dug it out. I want your oppinions on it since I don't know that much about visors.

There was a chinstrap but it was so brittle that it came off!

The outside is O.K free from moth holes or any other dammage. The inside however is pretty bad, missing the sweat band and has writing on the fabrik. I think it say's:

    Dietmar Heunerke KT
    e. JG.A, 27 / III

What does that mean other than his name?

The piping is not red and not pink. It's more violet/pink or something like that.
    Isn't that Bishop?

Also, do you visor collectors see these often?

    Thanks!

Oh....One more thing. Should I have it repaired or should I leave it alone?

Gerard is correct, it is a post-war BRD Luftwaffe visor with added TR insignia. Thorn, if you have a question about a hat, put it on the forum first (if you can), or get an iron-clad return policy. Hope it didn't cost you too much.

                    Scheiße!!!!!!

Thanks for your comments, both of you. I bought it before I was a member here but now, I actually do put stuff up before I buy it.

I paid $299.00 + tax for it at my local gunstore. The guy said that it was 100% original. I asked if he would take $200.00 and he said that just the insignia was worth $300.00. The old saying is correct. "You get what you pay for".

I'm going there to take it back, even if they want to or not! If not, I'll cut up the guy's tires!

Yes, I think that you are right. So the guy's tires will be gone!
