Thanks for all the nice words. The input, observations , and evaluation are truly appreciated It still strikes me as funny how one could get so excited over a piece of cloth but I am!

Nice cap Todd. I have a Luftwaffe side cap with the top safety pinned to give it "the look".

I also have an M42 side cap with a safety pin. I have seen several examples that have been sewn together as well, I think this quite a common modification.
