Is this a "Kokarde" from a Schirmutze?

Is that little piece of round aluminum the kokrade for a schirmutze badge? As you can see I found some damaged pieces of oak leaves from a schirmutze in the same area... but there was also a lot of junk lying around. No maker marks or anything else is visible...

Looks like a vent grommet from an overseas hat.

        Hello,
This is an army kokarde vent grommet for a vented EREL visor hat. Part of the wreath remains.

Isnt it a bit big for being a vent grommet?

Is it possible to post a comparison photo for 100% identification?

Considering the wear marks on the would be Kokarde, I would tend to think it is not militaria related... But since I found the pieces of wreath in close proximity, I though I would check.
This is the back by the way, does it confirm your diagnosis Peter? I didnt see any identical Kokarden on any photos I looked at.

Looks about the same. Peter may have nailed it as well.
