Hi Mike, great hat. Maybe its Joachim Muncheberg's(Oakleaves and Swords) hat. I believe this to be an Erel he's wearing as there are close up pics of him wearing a whitetop Erel. He has the brim edge removed also. I was told the pilots removed the brim edge to make it more easily bendable and to allow the googles to slip off the brim smoother.
