Zug number is an arabic one
For units roman number were used for Batallion and Abteilung
Interesting cause here the II could indicated the Bat. as 5th Co is part of the second one
But I think that here and generally for clothes caps and field gear the roman number indicated the "collection" in fact the state of items
From I (excellent) to III or IV (lower)
III or IV because there is a change before war for these "grades" but I can't remember when an the official dates and references
