Very interesting question that always seems to come up when german troops are involved.

The answer -in this case- is : Nothing

These ss troopers are in the process of surrendering to US troops in 1945, I think in czech.

Well my first inclination was a picnic since some of the individuals in background are wearing shorts but the SS werent known for picnics.

Interesting pictures I notice that one officer seems to be wearing a branch color piped visor.

Very nice to see the Junker with the silver piped collar tabs. Indeed a very nice detailed pictures. I like those photos where you look and find all the time new interesting details.

SS Surrendering to Czechs? Hmm..they may want to find some ammo and reconsider.

I've seen a few pix of LW flyers in them but never an ss officer.
