    Interesting SS officer photos

    Just goes to show there are no concrete rules regarding what was worn in the field. Fellow member found this somewhere on this site, sorry if its been posted to death previously

          Very interesting question that always seems to come up when german troops are involved.

          The answer -in this case- is : Nothing

          These ss troopers are in the process of surrendering to US troops in 1945, I think in czech.

                Well my first inclination was a picnic since some of the individuals in background are wearing shorts but the SS werent known for picnics.

                    Very nice to see the Junker with the silver piped collar tabs. Indeed a very nice detailed pictures. I like those photos where you look and find all the time new interesting details.

                            I've seen a few pix of LW flyers in them but never an ss officer.
