Nige, due to the small pics, I can't see if there is any velvet between the sweatband circumference and the cap base, is there any?

If there aint, it's a relined cap.

I'm not digging that s/band or the way the side lining is a right old pigs ear. Very un-Pekuro. I'd leave it alone, plenty more unquestionable Transport caps out there.

Geez, I hope this was just a restoration job and not a Franky, but I fear the latter. It is definately re-worked--no pleating to the lining; lack of Stirndruckfrei; incorrect stiffener; shape is wrong, etc....

I would normally say who would waste time creating a Franky transport, but having seen an Erel NCO Infantry WH superfake, it comes as no surprise....

Replaced Sweatband, for sure. I Really don't like the side liner material either (looks like a liner from a contract Em/NCO cap), looks artifically aged (or probably because it cam from a different cap), and it's missing the classic Pekuro creasing. I would pass.

Thanks for the opinions , I was never 100% on this so definitely a pass on this one.
                Thanks again

Good idea. Who was the seller? It might save someone else from buying it if you name and shame.

The next time I hear some clown on this forum use the excuse of “Who would go through all the trouble to fake that” I will point to this thread. Since the outside condition is in pretty good shape my guess is someone had a beat to sh$t Pekuro and put the lining is some junk. That cap was not made by Peter Kupper I can tell you that.
