This is technically an unreferenced mystery visor, but is believed to be for an early Studentenbund organisation (it is on p. 122 of Vol 2 of the Angolia HJ book).

Bob C. had one just like it--it is on page 38 of the Bozich book, titled "Anybody's Guess"(!):

Regarding post number 62, attached is an image of a belt buckle that displays the same emblem as that shown on the caps band. The buckle for many years has been described as "Studentenbund". There is now however a strong feeling by many of the advanced buckle collectors and also advanced DJ/HJ buckle collectors, that this buckle is quite simply early HJ related and definitely not N S St. B.

Thanks for the info. Hat is original (Bob C. obtained it back in the 60's as part of a vet-buy). However, it seems like a mid-30's cap in construction.

One last post on the subject, as this is of course not a buckle forum. As a reasonably accurate time frame, the HJ-Kampfzeit related emblem buckles would in theory have been abandoned 1934 due to the introduction of the well known "Blut und Ehre" HJ buckle. Just to muddy the water, there are known period images of the buckle that I showed, being worn by HJ members who also sport the standard HJ brassard and wear the standard HJ membership badge. A very interesting cap.

            Regards,

            David

Any authentic, period Judicial hat for any TR organisation is extremely rare.
This one is alleged to have belonged to Admiralstabsrichter Rudolphi:

Normally, I don't post foreign-made visors in this thread, but this is a rare one. Czech-made visor for the Police of Bohemia-Moravia:

This one is listed as a Fencing Society visor. While I am sure the hat is original Weimar (or even early TR), who knows when the eagle landed:

This shows a gathering of DLV-Segelflieger men. However, the one second from left appears to have a Reichspost (?) cockade in lieu of the Segelflieger abzeichen:

Not TR, but I never realized this Reiter badge was actually for a hat:
