    HG visor

I had a request to post this cap awhile back, so here it is named and unit stamped.

It was a dufflebag find and in much worse shape than this.

Herman Goring painters hat? Just noticing the paint or other splatters under the brim. I have seen many US flyers leather A-2 jackets with paint spots all over them. Markings look great and out in the open instead of behind the sweatband...very nice! Congratulations!

Please excuse my ignorance but, isn't 1938 a little early for the HG Div. ?

I've read that the HG Regiment was active in 1938, mostly with flak and searchlight, but other ground units as well.

This is pre-HG. It is a Regiment General Goering-era cap.

I'll always consider interesting trades. An M-35 SD Normandy camo is very high on my "want" list! But it has to have just the right look.

I've seen one dated 1936 and 1937 as well. But as Gene points out it was 'General Goring' at this time, like on the stamp. I know it's wrong, but I always bunch them all together under HG.

                      Thanks for the compliments guys.
