    camo ww2 field cap?

    Hello gentlemen,

Last week I found in a barn in my town this cap. I'm actually a british collector, so i don't know if this is a ww2-cap, or not. In my opnion it looks a bit like ' em, but like i said....I'm not the german expert. As you can see, it's not in a very good shape....
    Thanks in advance
    Tom from holland

It could have been field-made. It does not conform to factory standards. In fact my gut feel says it's a fake all the way. Sorry.

As previously stated, it could be a 'field made' piece which is worth about as much as the owner(or new owner) wants it to be. No where near a known manufactured, contract piece is worth. This one is so far off from anything known and the 'bleached' fading is not characteristic of real SS cloth. IMO a complete 'bogey'. I mean, how about that sweat band on a supposedly reversible cap?
