More overall pics would be better, but it looks promising so far.

I would keep the sweatband "as is" in this case.

I like what I see so far , about the leather SB I would leave it like that , or maybe NTZ or stonemint can help you with some tips

Your hat is real and yes, the SB can be fixed with Miro cloth as long as you are able to stand the whole SB upright inside the hat. Are you handy or all thumbs?

Thanks guys for the replys, i am not sure i would venture into those fields by myself, i tried sewing an insignia to a jacket once with disastrous results (thank god it was only a repro) so i think i´ll leave as is. It just bugs me

                  Any idea on a maker?

Is that sweatband leather, it looks like an "ersatz" substitute type to me, hence the peeling off the backing in places..

Nice cap. I would leave it alone. It would need a whole new sweatband to fix. I don't mind repairs but changing out SB's in not something I would do.

Thanks guys yes i have decided not to mess with it. About the sweatband it propably isnt leather like sturmbannfuhrer mentioned but "ersatz" it got sort of a papery feel too it. Is it paper?
