Luftwaffe em's Overseas Cap on E-Stand

    Hello Everyone,

I am interested in getting this overseas cap, is the stitching original? Any other thoughts?

    Cheers,
    Rylan

Hi Rylan, nice original cap. Hand stitching is the norm on these. I would need better pics to confirm the insignia is original to the cap. But looks "ok".

    Cheers, Ade.

Thanks for posting so quick, I think I will jump on this one. It seems to be at a pretty fair price. I just requested some more photos.

      Thanks,
      Rylan

Well I sent him a PM before that guy saying I would take it, so I would assume it's reserved for me.

I just said I would like a few more pictures before I send the money.

I am sorry, but this whole E Stand business is doing my head in I have had two nights now of nothing but E Stand....

Look. If you want to buy an item, send a PM saying I will buy it. No if's or but's. You are now buying it

If you are unsure, or need to see more pics, or start a thread about it while you ask for opinions from others, that is NO FAIR COMMITMENT TO BUY. That is messing the seller and other forum members about.

            Cheers, Ade.

Hi Ade, sorry I probably should have worded my post a bit better.

I said "I'll take it", and will keep my word on that. I just wanted pictures of the sides so I wouldn't find any major surprises with the cap upon receiving it. Although thinking back on this I realize it should have been handled beforehand.

My frustration with a few e-stand posts is this: sometimes there is an item I am very interested in, but I request pictures of the rest of the item and before that someone has beaten me to it. Not to mention half the time I notice people don't even have more pictures of the item... they need to take more.

              Cheers

Hi Rylan, the problem is people are falling over themselves wanting to buy stuff. No one likes to miss out on a deal. I fully understand that. But unless you are totally happy to buy, there and then, don't make an offer to buy.

Sellers should always add plenty of pics. As collectors we all like to see as much detail as possible before a purchase.

Can I offer you some advice? Don't rush into any deal. Take your time and study an item. If you loose out on buying, so what? You will have added a bit of knowledge and in most cases a similar item will come along in the future. Most collectors will admit that the deals they rushed into often turned out to be bad ones.

                Cheers, Ade.

                  Hey Ade,

Just an update, the seller posted more pictures and I did buy the sidecap. Looks pretty good too, it is a worn example. But still in what I would consider good, used condition.

I agree with the advice you gave, I have rushed into a few items before. And have good and bad luck with it before. It is very true that another item will always come along. And it is ironic that you mentioned that, because I saw another overseas cap sell for around $250 once. I was annoyed with myself for missing that one, and then this one came around for cheaper. So that saying does have a lot of truth to it.

                  Nice talking with you, cheers.

                  Rylan
