Note This Cap Was Purchased Through The Luftwaffe Uniform
Distribuion Supply. This Likely Accounts For The Metal Insignia In Lieu Of The Standard Hand Embroidered Style. It Is Likely That A Luftwaffe Supply Depot Would Be Carrying Hand Embroidered N S K K Insignia. Likely, Visor Caps Were Shipped From The Manufacturer Sans Insignia. As Different Levels Of Hand Embroidered Insignia Existed, The Luftwaffe Officer Could Choose What His Budget Could Afford. There Is No Evidence Of Prior Insignia. The Eagle's Prongs Are Pushed Through The Lining, Which I Would Consider Acceptable For A Hat Sold Without Insignia.Attached Files

I SAW ANOTHER LUFTWAFFE SPEER VISOR CAP AT THE SOS. IT HAD THE MORE TYPICAL HAND EMBROIDERED INSIGNIA. IT WAS ALSO OFFERED TO ME AT $700. UNFORTUNATELY, IT ALSO HAD THE WORSE MOTH DAMAGE I HAVE EVER SEEN. THERE WAS MORE OPEN SPACE IN THE TOP THAN REMAINING FABRIC. IT WAS SAD TO SEE SUCH A RARE CAP IN SUCH CONDITION.
